squid problem


Hai friends

I configured one squid server. in this squid server i have one problem. I configured username and password authentication using auth_param and ncsa_users. its working fine in my client place.
each and every time i open internet explorer it ask username and password. once i will give correct username and password . then it will work . so please tel me how to i give first time, i will give user name and password , then it will work automatically to next screen and newly opened internet explorer until i restart. then its difficult to give username and password for each new screen browsers. please tel me some solutions.

Its more a client side problem... You have to search for the browsers that saves the passwords..

Thank u for u r reply.

Actual the problem is we must need username and password authentication.
only one time we will give password. that is enough, then the system restart it ask again password. that is ok. but the problem is each and every time i open internet explorer it ask username and password authentication. so the client is very difficult to type username and password everytime. this is my problem. so please tel me some solutions.

Well,

This is a Windows client solution

Just go to control panel --> User Accounts --> 'Advanced' Tab --> 'Manage Passwords' Button --> 'Add' Button

Here add your squid server's IP address, username and password.

Hai thank u for u r reply. I do it as per u r suggestions but it again show login screen everytime i open internet explorer. please give some solutions
