Setting up a Mail server for my LAN users


Hi All ,

I am using Centos 5.4

My requirement is :
sending e-mails through our network(LAN).i want to create a e mail address's for each user and wants to give facility to sending,viewing,replying & forwarding office e-mails

Note : we dont have a DNS server in our LAN .please guide me in this regard.

Hello,

Here are two links that in my opinion are very good. You'll find that they both explain in detail what, why and how to install what you need. Neither of both are for RPM based distros but that shouldn't be a problem.

Whatever questions you might encounter, I'm sure they can be answered here at LQ.

Can you brief more on your requirements?? Do you want users to send emails locally on your LAN or externally on internet as well? And what do you more expect from your server?
