Thumbs up chkconfig smb on

run this as root

chkconfig smb on

also check chkconfig --list smb

smb service should be permanently on in runlevel 3

Hi,

Can you check smb service status in the morning. If service is running fine then no need to
restart the service daily. I think problem in your configuration file or any other system related issue on your server. I advice you that you analyze your log file, which help you to
get rid of this problem.
