Sama configration


I have configured samaba on my linux server and I have one windows client machne also. How can I configure windows computer to connect to linux computer and access it. and how can I access the registry to windows XP in linux

hmm... maybe running the regedit through wine will help/work ? Never try it. Don't forget to backup your registry

To access your registry, rdesktop to your Windows box should do the trick.
To get the Windows computer to access the Samba shares, check out SWAT or, depending on the distro you're using, you can probably use one of the setup utilities to make them available without manually editing /etc/samba/smb.conf.
Or, you could learn how to do that yourself. It's really not so hard for a simple home-lan system without security concerns.
