Problem configuring Sendmail on CentOS 5.2
I had a Trouble Ticket Express Help Desk running on a Fedora Core 8 machine for a long time and we never had a problem
We recently virtualized everything and moved the TTX Help Desk to a Centos 5.2 server.
I've set everything up, as far as I can remember as I set it up on Fedora, but for some reason Sendmail isn't working at all.
If I try to send messages either from the TTX software or from Mutt or anything else, it isn't sent. The mail isn't rejected, I've checked root's mail (full of unsent logwatch files) and I've created messages and sent them and they don't even get into the queue. There are no mail errors in Logwatch. I've restarted sendmail plenty of times it's as though it doesn't exist, but it IS running. I'm sure I've boobed somewhere, but where?
Now I'm no Linux "guru" but relatively competent these days, but I'm at a loss. I have a similar thing running on SuSE SLES10 (PostFix) and it works fine.
Anyone out there who knows CentOS who can PLEASE point me in the right direction? I feel like bashing my head on the desk!
