Question Palace server install and works but little confused about 1 aspect needs help

I'm not sure if i'm in right forum

I am running red hat 9.0 And i have installed a Palace server program And i know the default setup is /usr/local/palace and i can get it to run fine.

But here is the part I am stuck/confused about, later in the setup they use this line...

/usr/local/palace/<palace name>/psdata I am not sure if they mean to do this?

/usr/local/palace/<palace 1>/psdata
/usr/local/palace/<palace 2/psdata

meaning after /palace/ do I branch off into a set number of folders into a tree like set up

can any explain it to me??

my thanks

You sort of have the right idea. It seems that this software has the facility to operate multiple palaces. In this situation, you would have the following tree structure...

Code:
/usr/local/palace/1/psdata
                  2/psdata
                  3/psdata
However, since you are only running a single palace, you will only be concerned with palace 1 and its subtree.

I have had at least 4 servers running at 1 time by giving diffrent ports
but a roomate did the setup and the Docs don't go into details

Are you installing a single instance this time or multiple instances?
It would seem, in any case, that the palace directories are user defined. In other words, you get to choose, probably as part of the installation.
