Outlook client not picking up mail from postfix server

Hi, I am new to this so please bear with me.

I have sent up postfix and dovecot on my server. I can send and receive mail from it. I set up outlook for the account, it sets it up but there is nothing in the mail box but there is on the server.

I'm using Maildir/ if that helps.

I have no idea where to start looking.

Did you try another program like Thunderbird?

hi,

Can you test your server without the Maildir option? I guess that Outlook doesn't show anything because the inbox is empty (/var/spool/mail/user).

Good Luck
