Does anyone know of a tool/website that can verify/validate a BIND server's setup? (like, if it's reporting properly and has a standard configuration etc..)
I meant more of an external tool.. like if my name servers ns1, ns2, ns3 are reporting correct info together.. I remember using something like before, but forgot the site. It would tell me if my server is allowing recursive queries to all IPs and stuff like that.
There used to be many free tools that you might be thinking of at DNS Stuff but I seem to remember they changed policies some time ago about usage. Going back there, it looks like you'd be interested in a DNS report but it used to be much more accessible.
It sucks, I was just using one a month ago and stupidly didn't bookmark it. It gave me all sorts of errors like telling me that my TTL was longer than the standards.. arg.
