Migrating Postfix and cyrus imap from OpenSuse 10.0 to CentOS 5.1
Hi, guys,
I am trying to migrate postfix and cyrus imap server from old machine running OpenSuse 10.0 to new one which will be on CentOS 5.1. I can install postfix and cyrus on new one and they start perfectly. But there is a trap. I have to move about 100 mailboxes to new server. If I just copy the directories necessary the mail client don't recognize them. I found that I should have the same version of Berkeley db library libdb on both servers to go with absolute minimum of user frustration. Well, that seems a big issue. OpenSuse 10.0 uses db-4.4.20 but CentOS's highest version is db-4.3.29. So, the CentOS can't read the newer version (they are always different, I don't know why they need to do that). I tried to unistall libdb and got about 100 packages to be removed, and I cancel the process. If I go to install newer version it got conflicts. What I have to do to solve the situation?
How I can move the mailboxes with minimal user frustration?
