Install RedHat from cd-rom

I am trying to install redhat from a cdrom in a HP Proliant ML350 Server. The problem is that the server doesn't start from the cdrom and jump to the installation from the network. I was trying changing a lot of things ALL the morning, but I haven't more ideas.

I don't know if the problem is from the CD-ROM because I put the cd in other computer and it started without any problems.

One time it has started from the cd, but I couldn't make it to work again.

As a last note there is a message about SCSI driver no installed that I don't know if have or haven't any relation with my problem.

Anyone can help me??

Thanks.

Kinai.

Sometimes the problem is that BIOS has been set to not boot from CD-ROM. Sometimes the problem is that booting from CD-ROM is completely disabled for security.

Also make sure your CD-ROM is clean and can read most of CDs. I had issues like this, that my CD-ROM wasnt able to read the CD due to the lens beeing dirty and/or sensitive.

Check that out too, might help

If this is the case, how can I change it?? I entered in the bios but I didn't find the option to enable booting from CD-ROM. Perhaps I missed it, so if you could help me I would be very grateful.

On the other hand I am going to put the CD-ROM in other computer to test it. Other computer with other CD-ROM started the installation program from the CD so it's ok.

Well, as I said before, sometimes booting from CD-ROM is completely disabled for security reasons. The two classes of computer that are most likely to have it disabled are servers and embedded PCs. People do not want J. Random Hacker hooking up his CD-ROM and getting root on these systems using a LiveCD.
