How to set up a payment system on Linux web server?

Hi,

I asked this question last week (under Linux Server). But I do not see it has been posted.

So I am asking again: How can I setup a payment system (e.g., use PayPal, or visa) on my Linux web server?

Any body can share some experience with me?

Thanks!

Philip

Accepting PayPal payments is as easy as embedding some HTML into the web page which will add a link for people to make payments to you. With payment processing companies you typically need to create an account and they will provide some instruction on how to integrate your system with theirs. It sounds like you might actually want to know about a shopping cart system though. If that's the case there are plenty of open source solution which will usually have a way to integrate with your various payments accounts (PayPal, etc.) Some quick Googling shows OpenCart as a promising candidate. Good luck.

Hi Flakblas,

Thank you for your response.

I have never done the payment system before and there is a learning curve.

Actually, in my case it is user subscription. This should be simpler than shoping cart.

I'll go to PayPal and see if they can setup some software for my Linux server.

Thanks for your time.

Philip
