Help with receiving a message on Linux Mint from a server

I'm trying to broadcast a WS-Discovery message in my home's local network through a WIN based PC. My problem is that on the computer that I need to get the message to for a client (Linux-Mint based) there's a jam and the message doesn't even get to it (sniffed using wireshark and didn't see the message). The problematic computer has also WIN OS installed and when I boot WIN I do get the message.
The message goes through port 3702 and is broadcasted throughout my entire home's network.
