growisofs / 2.6.18 kernel / RHEL 5 / +2GB files
Hi,
I need to write bacula backups to bluray discs.
It's written that ISO9660 doesnt support files larger than 2GB, although I tried to wrote files than larger with growisofs , and by checking with md5sum these seem to be ok on DVD (tested with dvd-writer and dvd).
[root@o7 isos]# uname -a
Linux o7.workstation 2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 #1 SMP Sun May 2 04:17:42 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
[root@o7 isos]# rpm -qa|grep -i dvd
libdvdread-0.9.7-1.el5.rf
dvd+rw-tools-7.0-1.el5
libdvdcss-1.2.10-1.el5.rf
libdvdnav-0.1.10-3.el5.rf
[root@o7 isos]#
growisofs -speed=8 -Z /dev/dvdrw-sr0 -R -J -allow-multidot -allow-leading-dots -l -pad -graft-points 2disc=2disc
[root@o7 isos]# ls -lh 2disk/
total 2.6G
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2.6G Jun 4 19:16 win7_pro_32bit_.iso
Is there some good practice/guide/howto for getting large backups to bluray with centos/rhel 5 (kernel 2.6.18).
UDF seems to be out of question because kernel older than 2.6.26.
Thanks in advance.
