getting xml to work with php/apache

Hi,

I recently developed a web app using php/mysql/apache. the basis of the app is to present whatever is in the database out onto the browser. However, due to the lenghty result that appear, i wanted to insert an ajax live search. I was able to get a script that can do it perfectly but am having trouble getting it to work.

My belief is that the necessary xml support for the linux system is incomplete. I ll like to know the necessary packages and php modules or apache modules that are necessary to get xml working on the linux web server.

Am using Fedora 6 for the development.

Cheers.

I've been using the LAMP stack for quite a long time on FC9 and its working pretty well. I did use the xml support that you might be talking about along with the open source search engine Apache SOLR and worked without any hassle.
Could you please be specific on what exactly the errors/problems you are getting, post some error msgs if possible. BTW, one offbeat Qs, how did you install the stack?, i think it must be through yum, right?
Thanks.
