I've got clients all on Windows. I've been using qmail for years, and it's great, but I'm looking for something more feature rich. Specifically, something offering more of the groupware features that Exchange offers. More specifically, contacts and calendar (shared).
I know there's a few out there, but does anyone have experience in actually getting one going, and have a recommendation about what to choose? I've found Citadel on the web, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered investing the time to see if it actually works as advertised.
To be clear, I need the server to send and receive email on behalf of multiple domains; clamav-ify and spamassassin-ify said email; allow the use of aliases; provide an out-of-office auto-response; have the ability of presenting it to Outlook (or similar), from both inside and outside the LAN; store client contact lists; manipulate people's calendars. Easy peasy.
There is lots floating around, Zimbra,Scalix,Postpath,Open-Xchange, Horde Groupware. The list is endless, you just need to investigate which one will fit your requirements.
Yes, I know.. I was hoping someone had experience with actually trying some of them out and could make recommendations about which was solid and which were duds...
