Exclamation Email from a Linux to MS Exchange

I need a good suggestion.

I have a Sco Unix 7.1.3 server and a MS Exchange 5.5 server. I will like to have my linux machine to pull in certain files from the Unix server using the FTP command which it works and then create a cron job to send emails to the email addresses in MS Exchange.

Can this be possible?. I am looking for the correct email command to enable me to do this. Also, the email command allows me to attach a file too.

Any ideas?

You can either use sendmail or the mail command.. man either to learn more. And I would skip the ftp portion and use scp or rsync to pull the files from the server to the linux box, better security and more reliable.

Thanks for the reply. I will look into it. I am new to this. I was told I would need to setup a mail server on the linux machine in order for the email to work. If so, is there a mail server software I can download or is it already part of the Linux install?

You don't necessarily need an email server to send mail.. it will usually come with the default packages to send email.. if you have the mail command on your system, your ready to go. Try doing a man mail and its got the man page, its got the package most likely.
