Email gateway and archiving question
Hello,
I have a question regarding setting up a postfix internal email relay w/AV, Spam filtering. And setting up an archival system of emails received and sent.
I work in the finance industry as the IT manager/CIO/network engineer for a small company. I want to start implimenting a system that can archive important emails sent and received to get complient. Still researching this as to what rules and regs are required. Even though the company is not in the US, I am trying apply SOX, HIPPAA and so forth rules against our companies.
Currently we have an external provider filtering our email, then that mail goes into a Win 2003 server acting as an SMTP relay and gateway, that forwards that mail to an exchange server. We also have another email gateway (sophos)setup that filters outgoing email.
What I would like to do is get rid of the external filtering company, setup a postfix relay/gateway that can archive all incoming and outgoing email, that forwards it off to the Sophos Email appliance, which in turn sends it to our exchange server.
I know this seems like alot to go through. I would just cut out all but the sophos email appliance, but I don' think that can archive our email.
Anyone have a better suggestion? I am not going to remove the Sophos appliance as it has been paid for and has support till the end of 2013.
Thanks
