I have installed Dell OpenManage on one of my servers, and are able to access the agent via the "omreport" command.
The web interface, however, does not seem to be accessable. Running "https://server1:1311" does not work, and I get an error message saying that the page does not exist. I've tried "telnet server1 1311" on the server, and it doesn't seem to be running a web server on that port.
Anyone knows how to get the web service up and running?
I assume you are running it on a current poweredge server?
I have previously set up several VMWare ESX and Debian servers running on Dell PowerEdge 2800,2850 and 2900 series servers. I encountered some issues during the install but all works successfully in the end.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm running RHEL 5.1 on a poweredge 1950 server. I've installed dell agents on other systems, and their web interface have worked out of the box. But on this one it doesn't, for some reason.
Its going back quite a while, are all your openmanage clients running?
Look in /etc/init.d/ for something along the lines of svradmin or omadmin
are there any details in your logs at all?
I didn't see any trace of dell agents (i.e. srvadmin or omadmin) in /etc/init.d. There were a few references to srvadmin from our monitorin scout, but that was all.
Which log file should I be looking through? Took a loog at messages, but nothing there. Is it so that the kernel has an internal web server, and that it is this server the dell agent uses?
