Hey, guys,
I have a problem with my existing port of Debian running on a USB stick and driving my QNAP, to ZFS Filesystem.
So I want to run my Debian server via ZFS root.
Basically I have no problems with it and have already done some installations of this kind.
If I install Debian on ZFS (root) on an internal hard disk, there are no problems.
I have no problems with Archlinux on USB with ZFS (root),
only with
Debian on USB with ZFS (root) the pools are not included at startup.
I guess it's the order of the devices at boot time, in this case USB.
In Archlinux ( or Manjaro) I can use mkinitcpio.conf to set when the blockdevice should also be available (hooks: block, keyboard....etc).
How can I do this on Debian?
Or isn't that my problem?
Basically I follow these instructions:
https://github.com/zfsonlinux/zfs/wi...ch-Root-on-ZFS
If anyone has done something like this before or has a tip, I would be very grateful.
If you need more information to understand, just please ask.
greetings
thomas
