Centralized Printing Service

http://i.stack.imgur.com/Tnqhy.jpg
I have a question and would want to ask for suggestions. I have a diagram of a centralized printing service. Stations stn 1, stn 2, stn 3 are raspberry pi stations that has libre office installed. These stations will be used by customers who want to print something.

The printer server also runs in linux. My questions are: is cups capable of doing a queuing service? Is there any existing software that is capable of doing such service?

What I have in mind is when users print, they no longer need to select which printer but instead just throw the job on the server and let the server handle the driver selection, queuing of the jobs until a printer is available.

Yes, cups is a print spooler. You can create a printer group so that a job will print to the first available printer. I've never actually played with a group and so do not know how well it works.
