apache und mso

Hi!

I run apache 2. on my webseite I have documents in englisch and german. everything works well, except that a collegue want to publish documents ion german that are formated with some microsoft tool. the document has a lot of mso format-stuffs and won´t show the german letters correctly.
do have I to change something in the httpd.conf in order to have it schow correctly?
I want to precise that all other documents in german (that are not created with microsoft products) arte shown correctly. the charset and Lang are already set correctly in http.conf.

thanks

Can't this MSO crap be scrubbed using say HTML-tidy?
Wouldn't it be "better" to not pollute your site with proprietary crap?.

sure, I fully agree with you and that's what I told the user... but he wasn't so happy about my answer, so I would like to see if there is another solution.
