Question RH und Postgresql


hi @ll,

i'm using redhat 8.0 on an Intel-Server, i try to install a postgresql using Photogalerie, but i have some trouble with my Databases, when i try to conncet to the database, i get the following message:

Enter the PostgreSQL username [root]: <User>
Enter the PostgreSQL password for root []: <password>
Attempting to connect to localhost as user root...DBI->connect(dbname=fotoalbum) failed: FATAL 1: user "root" does not exist at ./install.pl line 250
success.
Creating database...Can't call method "do" on unblessed reference at ./install.pl line 260, <STDIN> line 4.
[root@server PhotoShelf-1.11]#

I have checkt the Username and PW severeal times.

Using Mysql i have the same problems until i enter the Ip-Adresses in /etc/hosts. Anyone an idea,
