Apache Problem

All,

I am a PHP backend, OOP/Frameworks extensions guru. Therefore I have to work and test in localhost before promoting any code to the web anywhere.

I like using my laptop, for portability, but localhost is no longer working.

I wasn't sure about this problem so originally posted it at:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...22#post5619222

Now after the discussion there, I pretty certain there are two problems:
  1. The Browser,
  2. Apache/Localhost.
Therefore I need to address the Apache issue seperately, and have posted the associated apache logs and config files at:

http://pastebin.ca/3727003

With no errors, I do not know what to look for and the localhost nor none of the aliases work right now.

All help appreciated!

Thanks!

TBNK

Let's get some simple tests out of the way:
Code:
nslookup localhost
telnet localhost 80
I don't see localhost defined as anything apache2 would match. It shouldn't matter, but maybe it does for some bizarre ubuntu reason. Also, if you are using a framework that uses a URL to route requests, then, there's probably something else to examine.

<VirtualHost localhost:80>
ServerName localhost.localdomain
ServerAlias localhost
