Hi,

I have a RHEL ftp server using SFTP, it works fine using clients such as filezilla and psftp (putty) w/ settings SFTP using SSH2.

My problem is that I have a client that needs to connect using his AS2 server,

Here is the return error he is getting...


I get the following message when trying to FTP from our AS2 application:

Type: Send Sub-Type: FTP Outbound
Time: Mar 4, 2005 3:34:29 PM Status:
Error Message: Could not connect because of error
[org.apache.commons.net.MalformedServerReplyException: Could not parse
response code. Server Reply: SSH-1.99-OpenSSH_3.6.1p2]. The FTP
configuration attributes are [ server [ip address:22], username
[ ], account [] ]


Any help or advice??

Have your client login to his AS2 server and manually attempt an SFTP connection using scp or some other interactive utility. Then debug from there. Also make sure that his AS2 app is not using plain FTP.
