I need to have anonomis users login and be able to upload configurations to the default dir. I have the anonomis jailed to the dir. Would there be any security reasons for not doing this?
The prophet once said: jails can be broken.
Jokes apart (and that wasn't exactly a joke), you gotta be sure people don't use that anonymous thing for exchanging ... illegal files. So my guess is you should do a regular account.
Ok here is what we are doing. I am a modifier, I'll modify your lawn mower, motorcycle, car, truck, boat....what ever it is can be hoped up. Also we run a hard core 4x4 club. We have been switching some of our rockcrawling vehicles to fuel injection. With a injection system like we are running every aspect is controlable by the laptop and the software thats on it. When we are done we have a global configuration thats basically a tune for this engine combo. Its kinda hard for someone to try to tune their car with little knowledge. So we are wanting to store some of the engine tunes for other to be able to download. The download side is fine, but I'd like them to be able to upload their own files with out having me to do it for them.
