restict telnet and ftp in suse

Hi I M new for suse Pl.. tel me how to restrict users for telnet and ftp on suse

do you actually use them? if not, why not jsut uninstall or disable them?

ssh does everythign telnet does, over a secure link.

I agree. SSH should be your replacement for telnet, and ftp. However, since I know that sometimes the "powers that be" don't allow this....

You can use the /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny files to limit access to telnet and ftp.

You can do a 'man 5 hosts_access" for syntax.
