PermitRootLogin no - Not working!

I'm running Slackware 10.1.0. I added the line PermitRootLogin no to my /etc/ssh/sshd_config file, but it does not seem to be working. I'm still able to login as root when I first connect. Anyone know what's going on? I killed the sshd process and restarted it. Thanks for any help in advanced.

I got it working. For some reason I killed sshd process again and started it back up again. This time it worked.

I'll bet it needed to re-read the changed config file.

BTW, I found this in its man page:
Quote:
sshd rereads its configuration file when it receives a hangup signal, SIGHUP by executing itself with the name and options it was started with, e.g., /usr/sbin/sshd
So you probably didn't need to kill & restart.
