Question pam help - Run Script at Failed Login

I have a bash script that grabs a few frames off a webcam and stores them in a location. I would like to execute the script after failed login attempts on a desktop machine.

I am using Opensuse 13.1 and I suspect that I should be doing something with pam? I am not an expert with pam and could use some advice. When I looked in cat /etc/pam.d/common-auth it told me that the file was autogenerated so no point editing that. Where should it be in pam?

Anyone done something similar?

I have started looking into pam_exec as I don't think opensuse has pam_script. It might be too much effort to figure out how to do it.
