limiting cpu and memory usage by user process
Hello everyone!
I have a problem with my RedHat Linux 8.0 system. How can I limit the CPU and memory usage by the user processes. Can I define the maximum amount of memory (RAM) usage by the usage process, some of which consume too much of memory and thus leads to blockage of all resources for other users.
Thanks to all in advance.

Hi!
Tried ulimit...thought it would work.
But unfortunately....the problem is still there. still some of the the user processes are consuming too much of memory. I tried to limit the memory consumption by using ulimit to maximum 10MB for each user.
Any other suggestions please.....how do I control them.
