Please note the current state of this project considering it says "Last updated on February, 2003". Regardless, could you please explain in what way this would secure his current kernel?

In general by by making sure you 0) run your distributions current release (as in userland exploitable vulnerable components) and updating to the current patched kernel version or 1) running a current vanilla kernel.org kernel, and removing unnecessary subsystems and components (as in minimising footprint: risk of vulns in unused subsystems), and 3) running the kernel patched with a MAC like SELinux or GRSecurity (hardening) and 4) not exposing your system unnecessarily (hardening against remote).

If that doesn't cover your question please elaborate. Also please leave off the IM/IRC/texting lingo. This forum is home to a lot of people who prefer plain english over any leet-oid language.

Have you searched YouTube and other sites like that? Why do you need a video tutorial for this? Also, why are you still refusing to type in plain English, as you were asked to do by unSpawn?
