How to recover the root password in suse 10.1

I have just instal Suse 10.1 but i have forgot my root passwood, can i recover it or is that out of question?

You can try to boot in single mode (but it can ask for root password depending on configuration).
You can also boot from CD, flash, floppy or any other media a Linux system (it can be small and fit to one floppy - rescue disk), mount you root partition and edit your's /etc/passwd file.
