Question How to configure rsh server?


How to Configure rsh Server and where to restrict instances???

Can any body help me out in this???

I dont usually say this, but, "Have you even tried Googling this?"

Seriously, the first 100 hits are examples on how to set it up. There seems to be no end to the information out there about it.

I would suggest making an attempt at the HowTos and Manual. Thats just me of course.

Thank you so much, i have googled it and configured the RSH Server and it's working only with NIS Users and that to from which login(NIS Login) we are logged in. If NIS is must for doing rsh i am done with this.

The problem with rsh & NIS are that they are both plaintext protocols. Are you really(!) sure you want to do that?

Personally I'd recommend ssh and/or LDAP+TLS as reqd eg http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...DAP_and_RADIUS (ignore the RADIUS bit)
