Unhappy Help gatta Debian going wild!

Hi,

My box isn't asking for the root password anymore.
I type in root and it just lets me slide ride in.
We can't have that this girl is mine so how do I get my girl back to the moral side?

She is a Debian sarge.
I am not sure how it happened but I am sure it has something to do with me playing with pam.d/common-auth while trying to hook up ldap pam and php

Please help before some low life gets her
