filepermissions add a group

I have file that I want be accessable for two groups

I have two programms needing access to the file but If I change the ownership then 1 will work the other will not.

I guess it is something like
chmod g group1:group2:group3 filename
but I cannot find it anywhere, not even is system essentials from O'reilley.

Can anyone give me a hint please, I do not want to experiment because it is a life system.

Regards,
Jan

Thanks

but I figured out which users were in the groups and I needed only one, so I added just that one user to the other group and all is working now.
Found it thanks to this Forum!

Regards,
Jan
