Exim, restrict sending from ourdomain.com to local subnet


Hi,
I've got an Exim mail server and would like to stop people from being able to send smtp through it with the from field containing ourdomain.com unless the connection is established from the local subnet.

Does anybody know how to do this?

Try:
Code:
hostlist   relay_from_hosts =  192.168.0.0/24
Exim disallows _all_ relay by default, so after adding this rule, only hosts in 192.168.0.0/24 subnet can send mail through this box...

Go ahead and use telnet to check (from outside your subnet )

Thanks, the exim conf already has this.

Does anybody know of an internet based telnet portal or something? I found one ages ago and can't remember where now. I need to use it to test our mail server from outside.

Here is a list of free shell providers. Most if not all should provide the telnet command:
