ctime of /etc/samba/smbpasswd different

Everyday AIDE found this file different: /etc/samba/smbpasswd

File: /etc/samba/smbpasswd
Ctime : 2005-07-02 21:30:46 , 2005-07-03 21:34:16

How could the ctime of this file changes every day?

The ctime--change time--is the time when changes were made to the file or directory's inode (owner, permissions, etc.)
