[EDIT: Google Translate]Good. I have a problem when entering red hat linux 5, I did not take any user who had registered. Then he entered the console and was blotted to / etc / passwd "x" that came with: x :: :: so if I'm not mistaken, that's the encrypted password .. So now if I login with root, but users are not manageable. Is there any way to recover the / etc / passwd file? they are grateful.[/EDIT]
Buenas .
::x::

The 'x' in the /etc/passwd file means that an encrypted password is stored in /etc/shadow for that username.
