Red face installation of skype on redhat linux 9.0 or redhat enterprise 4.0


hi guys,
"How could i install skype on redhat enterprise version 4.0 or
redhat linux 9.0??".

or else could i attain the same functionality(of skype) with other(freely available) sofwares as well?if yes plz inform me(by a link)...

Hi and welcome to LQ.

I don't think the skype rpms will install on Red Hat 9 because Red Hat 9 does not have the required dependencies. On RHEL 4, you could probably download the static package from here.
