Best/Safest way to link folders in VSFTPD

Hello all! I am running vsftpd on RedHat9, and I was wondering how I might be able to like a folder to my pub FTP directory.

For instance, I have /var/pub and within /var/pub, I would like a link to /home/user/shared, called maybe users_shared.

What is he best/safest way to do this?

Thanks for your help!

IIRC you should be able to configure Vsftpd on a per-user basis that would allow them access to both /var/pub and /home/$USER. I spose there's some considerations when chrooting users, in that case it prolly won't work and you should figure out if you *really* need/want this setup to work.

hmm, I never really found an alternative solution, but I just moved my www folder into my home directory, changed a couple permissions, and good to go. That works for me, since I am the only user that needs access to the /var/www directory.

Thanks for your help though!

Np, you tweaked it, you got it to work and that's what matters.
