wow, what great news. I think the future for linux is good if the programs are ported- high tech things like gaming etc, things that make people keep windows.

It's great to hear that Linux is being accepted more widely. Soon, it will be hard for vendors to ignore linux and we will find more applications and more drivers being produced.

Wow!

That's fantastic. I wish we could have something like that happen in the US. I'm sick of the pervasiveness of Windows in this country. When I recently moved in with two of my friends, I explained to one that I didn't use Windows or Mac on my computer, and his, totally serious, response was, "What else is there?" People need to realize there are more (and better) options.
I think we need government support to push forward free software, but the government doesn't seem to understand. I've long been wondering how it is in a country that is supposed to be built upon the principles of freedom, that free software has gained so little support.
