flareGet: the new IDM alternative option for Ubuntu/Linux (Sep 19)
I was googling around for the best download manager out there for Ubuntu, but many of what I've tried have failed me >.<
Until I found flareGet and oh boy! IT'S SO AWESOME! -still in beta though-
It's truly an IDM alternative app for Linux and it's the only one out there with multi-thread technology up to 32 segments/connections even better than IDM
I know that flareGet is currently may looks like a simple download manager (its GUI) but name one for linux that has a frontend, multi-thread downloading, file segemntation with up to 32 segments/connections and truly very fast just like IDM Internet Download Manager for Windows! (IT CAN DOWNLOAD YOUTUBE VIDEOS NOW!)
You would take a first look and usually say flareGet mimics Orbit Downloader!
Well, flareGet doesn't mimic Orbit Downloader, actually flareGet and Orbit Downloader both mimics IDM! xD

Word from the developer:
- The source code is still undocumented. Its no use uploading there yet.
- Perhaps, the app might not be open source.

JDownloader, it handles up to 20 connections and even converts Youtube videos for you in different formats. The downside is that it needs Java.
Since i want to get rid of Java programs on my machines I will have a look at flareGet, thanks for the link.
