xine "make all installinstall taking LONG time to get set up

Ok, currently setting up xine-lib-1.1.12. It required me to install zlib-1.2.3. Did that. No problem. It required me to set up something after that, forget what, butagain. No problem. Now come time to compile it, I type sudo ./configure (within the direcory I saved the file to obviously.) No problem again. Now I hit in sudo make install. I can't tell now if something is wrong or not. Konsole is taking a long LONG time to finish with this. Bear in mind my system is an older 1ghz pentium system with just 256mb of ram. I don't do anything on my system that requires more then that. Maybe my system is just gonna take a long time? Can someone who set up xine tell me how long it took to set up?

Why don't you just install xine through your package manager?
