xchm compilation error interpretation

Using SuSE ED 10.

Wanted to install xchm. Needed wxGTK. No probs, Downloaded the file and it installed smoothly. Installed version 2.8x

xchm required the chmlib libraries. No probs, installed chmlib.0.39. smoohtly.

The problem arose when I tried to compile xchm 0.98.

Code:
$ ./configure

checking for wx-config... /usr/local/bin/wx-configchecking for wxWindows version >= 2.4.0...
Warning: No config found to match: /usr/local/bin/wx-config --static --libs in /usr/local/lib/wx/config
If you require this configuration, please install the desired library build.
If this is part of an automated configuration test and no other errors occur, you may safely ignore it.
You may use wx-config --list to see all configs available in the default prefix.yes (version 2.8.2)Warning: --rezflags,
along with Mac OS classic resource building is deprecated. You should remove this from your Makefile and build .app bundles instead.

I got similar error when trying to compile xchm version 1.2.
Has anyone using Suse 10 got it successfuly installed.
I'm having problems with the rpms as well.
Thanks for any pointers.

I forced the rpm installation and it seemed to do the trick.
