First of all, learn the meaning of YMMV. You may get things working, you may not.
Readup on getting games going in wine, post a link to call of duty 2 and your exact error. Give us everything we need to duplicate your setup. What versio0n of wine? What versions of windows have you tried. What have you done to make it work. Have you a recent version of winetricks?

Not all Windows applications will work with Wine and some that do work better than others.

You might start with consulting the Wine application database.

For general help

You can search for a program and see if it will work, like

Oh dear!
But if you want to run Android games on Linux, you need an Android emulator for Linux, not one for Windows:
http://techapple.net/2014/05/5-best-...eiacentos-etc/

Generally, there are times when you need to get a particular version of Wine for a particular program. I have one essential program I run with Wine, and only about half the Wine versions work. How did I find them? The hard way: trial and error.

It's worth looking at the games software available for Linux: there's more than you might expect.
