Can anyone plz tell me how to connect my Windows 7 to my Linux Domain without doing the SAMBA upgrade.(As a normal user i can ping the server and even go on the share files but struggeling to join the domain)

And no, we can't, not without some useful details. Things like error(s) you're getting from the Linux server, log file messages, version/distro of Linux, etc. All we know is that you've got a Linux 'domain', and you're having problems with your Windows 7 box.

Windows problems are better off on a Microsoft forum. If you've done research, and see a problem on the Linux server, we can help, if you tell us what the problem IS. Upgrading Samba is a good start, and (if it's been recommended), probably a good solution.
