Hi JamShah

Will be glad if you could provide more information.

Are you referring to,
1. Having a Linux node join a Windows Domain? (vice-versa)
2. Having a Linux node added into a network environment that is entirely based on windows?

Seeking your clarity here.

Re: linux base domain network and windows base domain nework

If you're talking about Directory Services.
That's tricky. Merging both of them together.

Now you have to choose between having a Windows Active Directory or Linux Samba. To get Linux nodes connected to Windows AD (domain), use SAMBA.

However, if you're talking about whether to shutdown services in windows/linux. That's your preference.
Care to share your network topology in explicit in that case?

Samba is the thing to use if you want linux to communicate in any way with windows.
