I am very new to Linux. I had a bad experience of trying and failing with Linux some 4 yrs back. Since then I hadn't tried linux, but now tried with Slynux. (Because it supports my mother tongue.)My Computer is a Compaq Presario V2000 Laptop. This CD after much activity stalls at "Executing Slynux Desktop". Then no further activity, CD rom also stops. Key board active. A data card attached rings when called to.
I tried some cheat codes, which I searched out. Doesn't work. I tried the CD on a desktop, where it runs well.
Please help me out.
