Post Why does not the TALK work available?

I have a question to ask you , I will chat with other persons with using talk tools. Now,our OS are RH9 ,i had loaded talk service and been sure that mesg is y.To put every hostname into every /etc/hosts.
when i type "talk qq@qq.aa.com" from computerA, computerB get the responding message "talk: connection requested by alan@aa.aa.com
talk:respond with:talk alan@aa.aa.com".
Then i type "talk alan@aa.aa.com" on computerB and OS hints me a message that is "error on read from talk deamon: connection refused .press any key.....'
i have a try to get help from man , /var/run/utmp is nothing. i think is not wrong with it.

I need you help.
thanks.

Remember that the talk daemon must be running on both machines for this to work, as well as not being firewalled off, etc. Do other services such as ssh work correctly from computer B to computer A?
