which distro is best for a portable gnucash?
I have used dos, win, and xp. I have never "used" linux.
I have installed redhat, mandrake, puppy, slax, knoppix and dsl, trying to find a system I (as a don't care user) can take from laptop to desktop and use on other peoples computers. The purpose is a portable financial package. gnucash appears to answer all my needs but I cannot get it working with any of the portable distro's that I have tried.
puppy--poor hardware detection and gnucash not ported.
slax---even poorer hardware detection and probably unstable apps.
knoppix--does everything, but too large for portable.
dsl---best I have tried-acceptable hardware detection, but gnucash not
functional.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a distro that I can put on a 256m pen drive and run gnucash???
