what sould i configure to allow my self write arabic in openoffice


hi nice people

i want to write in arabic in openoffice,but i do not know how to map my keyboad to accept arabic script,or what shall install.

please any idea or suggestion.

use your pakage manager to install arabic support for you distro, then use whatever settings tool yoru distrro has to change you keyboard mapping to arabic...

if you post what distro you are using and wether you are using kde or gnome (or anything elce)
i might be able to give clearer insructions

I would have the same question for Hindi!

And I search for an editor making following:

I will enter the special characters in unicode like " & # 9 9 9 ; " and would like that the characters appairs immediately on the screen. Do you know an adequate editor editor AND a wiki page how to use it?
